An important element in my concept is to include little objects into my artworks. Most of these objects come from nature and the spectrum is very ambitious. Anything,starting from shells, snails, oysters or lobster shells up to everyday objects like porcelain, rice noodles or chopsticks can be found in my compositions.
By integrating them into an artwork these objects are reaching a new significance and by highlighting them with gold or silver they become more valuable.
It is a tremendous fascination for me to create importance to things which are normally getting no attention as already stated by Paul Klee:
“Art does not reproduce the visible; it makes visible.”
